Questions You Might Be Wondering About Before You Book?

Wondering how it all works? Here are the most common questions I get asked about my website services and process.

  • Yes. These packages are designed with new and growing practices in mind. Whether you’re launching from scratch or ready to take your online presence more seriously, I’ll guide you through every step.

  • You absolutely could, but most clients come to me because they don’t want to spend weeks figuring it all out. My packages are for people who want a website that feels like them, works for their clients, and is ready to launch without the DIY stress.

  • You must have all content necessary for the project ready to go by our agreed upon start date unless discussed prior. Failure to do so could result in rescheduling the project to a later date and/or a restart fee.

  • To book your project, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is split into two payments:
30% due just before project start date
40% due before launch/end of project date.

If you need something more flexible, just ask, I’m happy to find a solution where possible.

  • No. All deposits are non-refundable. Your deposit secures your place in my schedule and ensures I can give your project the time and attention it deserves.

Because I only take on a limited number of clients at a time, booking your slot means I turn away others who may have wanted the same timeframe. If a project is cancelled, that time is often difficult to rebook, especially at short notice.

This policy helps protect the time I set aside for your project and ensures that bookings are made with real commitment and readiness. I’m here to support you through the process, and this structure helps keep everything running smoothly for both of us.

  • I usually book about two to four weeks in advance, so I would recommend getting in touch with me as soon as you start thinking you need a website and well before your deadline.

  • The packages do not include domain registration, Squarespace subscription fees, or complex custom features like e-commerce or membership portals. If you need anything outside the standard scope, we can always chat about custom work or add-ons.

  • I whole heartedly believe Squarespace is the best platform for most modern small to medium sized businesses, particularly therapists and those who are not tech savvy. It is both beautiful and functional and has the flexibility, mobile responsiveness and ease of editing needed for those with any level of website content editing.

  • At this time, I only design on the Squarespace platform.

  • If you pay your deposit to book your spot but then do not complete your project homework or do not commit to having your content ready to go, you will be bumped to the next available spot and required to pay an additional 50% rescheduling fee to re-book your project back in.

  • To launch your site, you’ll need to purchase a Squarespace hosting plan separately. I’ll guide you through the process when the time comes, and I typically recommend the Business Plan for most private practices.

You’ll also need to purchase your own domain name (if you don’t already have one). If your domain isn’t bought through Squarespace, I’ll need access to your provider account to connect it properly. I recommend GoDaddy as an affordable and reliable option that integrates well with Squarespace.

While I’ll help you get everything set up, please note that I’m not responsible for issues related to hosting or domain services after launch, such as server downtime or provider-related errors.

  • If you’ve booked the Foundation or Essentials package, you’ll be responsible for your own copy, but don’t worry, you’ll receive a guided website copy workbook to make the process simple and stress-free.

If you’ve chosen the Enhanced package, I’ll create AI-powered copy for you, tailored to your practice and ideal clients.

  • Not at all. If you’d rather write your own copy, you can use the guided copy workbook included with your package to create content that feels right for you and your practice.

There’s no difference in price if you choose not to use the AI support, it’s simply there as an extra tool if you’d like a bit of help getting started.

  • Ongoing maintenance isn’t included in the packages, but Squarespace makes it easy to update your own site - and you’ll receive tutorials to help with the essentials.

If you’d prefer support after launch, I’ll be offering monthly maintenance packages soon. In the meantime, I’m always happy to recommend trusted resources or help you book a one-off update session if needed.

  • Yes - basic SEO setup is included in all website packages. This covers essentials like page titles, meta descriptions, and image optimisation to help your site get off to a good start.

Advanced SEO services, like keyword research or ongoing content strategy, aren’t included. If that’s something you’re interested in, it’s best to connect with an SEO specialist for more tailored support.

  • Not at the moment. My website packages are designed to start fresh using one of my custom Squarespace templates. This helps keep the process streamlined, stress-free, and aligned with the design and strategy that works best.

  • You won’t need to be available every day, but I do ask that you’re able to check in and respond within 1–2 business days during the process.

There may be moments where I’ll need feedback, approval, or a quick question answered to keep things moving. The clearer and more responsive our communication, the smoother (and faster) your site comes together!

  • Yes - you’ll need to provide a few photos of yourself for your website.

For the rest of your site, I’ll help you choose high-quality stock images that complement the design and feel aligned with your practice. I typically use free stock photo sources, so there’s no extra cost involved.

  • No problem at all. You can have more than one website within your Squarespace account. If you already have an existing Squarespace site, your new template-based site will simply appear alongside it in your account dashboard. They’re kept completely separate.

When you purchase a template package, we’ll build your new website from scratch and take care of adding your content for you. There’s no need to transfer anything over yourself. Once your new site is ready, you’ll just need to move your domain over and start a new Squarespace subscription for it.

If you’ve already paid for a subscription on your current site, we recommend reaching out to Squarespace support. They’re usually happy to offer a prorated refund when you’re switching to a new site.

Still have questions? We’re happy to help. Just get in touch here.

  • No worries at all. You don’t need any Squarespace experience to get started as we handle the setup, design, and content for you.

But if you ever want to make small edits or updates down the line, Squarespace is a beginner-friendly platform that’s designed to be easy to use. Inside your client portal, you’ll find step-by-step video tutorials showing you how to make changes confidently. More resources will be added over time, so you’ll always feel supported.

Whether you want to leave things as they are or tweak them later, you’ll be in good hands with a website that’s simple to manage.

  • Yes, 100%. All of our templates are built on Squarespace 7.1 using Fluid Engine, which means your website is fully responsive and comes with a custom mobile layout.

We design every site to look just as professional on a phone as it does on a desktop. You’ll also have access to the mobile editor if you ever want to tweak things in the future.

To preview the mobile version of any template, just open the demo site on your phone using the View Demo button.
